CARIA. Kaunos. Circa 430-410 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 10.60 g, 12 h). Winged female figure (Iris?) in kneeling-running stance left, head to right, holding kerykeion in her right hand and wreath in her left. Rev. Baitylos flanked by two bunches of grapes with tendrils; above, 𐊼 ('k' in Carian); all within incuse square. De Luynes 2776 (same dies). HN online 927. Konuk 96 (O38/R37). SNG Keckman 825. Troxell 27. Beautifully toned. Somewhat granular and with minor traces of cleaning, otherwise, good very fine.
